By fostering with Wirral Council, you’ll be making a difference to the most vulnerable children and young people from your local area.
Foster carers work in partnership with the team around the child in their care, and by becoming a foster carer with Wirral you’ll benefit from working directly with this team, including the child’s Social Worker, education and health professionals, resulting in better communication, support and outcomes for our children.
In Wirral we’re proud of the strong bonds our foster carers create with the children they care for. Being a foster carer for Wirral Council you know the children you care for are from your local area, providing them with stability during what can be a turbulent time. Enabling children and young people to remain close to their family, friends, school and familiar surroundings is imperative to their emotional wellbeing and leads to better outcomes.
“The best thing about fostering for Wirral Council is knowing the children we care for are from our local community. This allows us to form lasting relationships, well into adulthood. It’s amazing when they grow up and call in to see us as working young adults with their own families. Nothing can beat that proud feeling.”
