Attending an Information Session is one of the next steps on your journey to becoming a foster carer. Attendance isn’t mandatory, but it provides great insight into the role, and is your opportunity to find out more and ask any questions you may have before you have an initial visit to your home from our fostering teams.
Due to Covid19, we have been running our information sessions, virtually, online at 10am, 12.30pm and 6pm for the past 18 months. These events have been hugely successful, and offer a great way for people to attend, who may otherwise not have had the availability.
As restrictions begin to lift, we are now also beginning to trial running face-to-face sessions again. Please see below for further information.
We’ll continue to also run our virtual sessions too, to enable you maximum choice and flexibility.
These 45 minute live sessions are being run remotely.
Next session:
Thurs 16th June 10am
We also have upcoming sessions on:
Thurs 30th June 6pm
Weds 13th July 12.30pm
Tues 26th July 6pm
***Book Now***
To sign up to attend, please complete the form below and a member of our team will confirm your place and send you a link to access the session. Please note you will need a PC, laptop, tablet or iPad to access the session, a Smartphone will NOT be suitable.
Please note places are limited.
Our first face-to-face information since the onset of the pandemic took place on Monday 4th October at Castlefields Community Centre, Runcorn.
We will update this page with details of the next face-to-face session as soon as we are able to.
If you are unable to attend one of our sessions, we have created a 15 minute introduction video to tell you about fostering, the process involved and the support you can expect to receive from Foster4. You can also hear some practical advice from one of our foster carers, about her own experience of fostering.
Please note, whilst this introduction video is the same presentation as shown during a virtual information session, a virtual session expands on some of the subjects and offers the opportunity to ask questions and chat directly with a Foster4 Fostering Support Worker. At a face-to-face session, a similar, authority-specific presentation is shown, which sets out the benefits of fostering in that particular area in more detail.
Please revisit this page regularly as we will add more dates for further information sessions. In the meantime we have other options available to progress your enquiry to the next stage.
We have a worker on duty each day (Monday – Friday) ready to answer your calls and questions, who can guide you through the process via email and telephone. If you’d like to find out more, discuss things further, or are ready to take the next step, please don’t hesitate to get in touch:
