Foster families gathered at Birkenhead Park for a fun-packed afternoon of games, music, animal encounters and even a special visit from a T-Rex!
Organised to provide a space for Wirral Council foster carers and children to connect, families enjoyed sharing experiences and having fun meeting new and existing friends.
Families were also able to share experiences with each other while meeting new and existing friends.
Cllr Chris Carubia, Vice Chair for Children Education and Families, attended the event and said: “For people thinking about fostering who are not sure what’s involved, these kinds of events are brilliant because you can come along, speak to people and they’ll tell you exactly how it works.
“Every child is different, and every foster parent is different, but the one consistency is that every child needs a loving home.
Thank you to everyone who helped to organise the event and to all the staff working behind-the scenes. Lots of fun was had by all!
