Last week the fostering team in Halton opened the doors for their annual Family Fun Day event, and what a day it was!

Designed to entertain foster carers and their families, the event brought together children and foster carers for a memorable day filled with laughter, joy, and community spirit. From the moment families arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. The day featured a delightful catering spread, serving up tasty treats that delighted young and old alike.

As children explored colorful bouncy castles and enjoyed the soft play area, the sounds of laughter echoed around the room. Artists from Ace Faces were on hand to spark creativity with face painting, allowing little ones to transform into their favorite characters. Chicks on wheels provided all the party games along with glitter tattoos and balloon modelling. Speaking of transformers, there were some extra special guests in attendance from Cheshire Transformers – Bumblebee and Ultra Magnus wowed little and big ones with their moves.

One of the highlights of the day was the raffle, which boasted an array of exciting prizes that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

The community spirit shone brightly as families came together,It was a fantastic day, and the turnout exceeded our expectations, seeing the kids enjoy themselves is what it’s all about” said Linda, Support Worker from the Halton Fostering Team, and the person responsible for organising the well loved event.

Zoe Fearon, Executive Director of Children’s Services, said “The smiles on the children’s faces and the laughter shared by families truly showed the impact of events like these. They remind us of the importance of community and the vital role our foster carers play in nurturing these incredible children.

As the day wound down, the joy and gratitude were palpable. Events like this are a small token of appreciation for the immeasurable impact foster carers have on so many lives.
