As a foster carer for your Local Authority, you will have:
- A dedicated supervising social worker, who will be your go to person for any queries. They are based locally to you, in our offices, and are available via telephone, email or text during office hours. They’ll come out and visit you at least every 6 weeks
- A duty worker on duty every day- so even if your supervising social worker is out of the office, there is always someone instantly available
- A 24/7 local out of hours team. We know things don’t always arise from 9am-5pm, so we have a team of social workers on duty round the clock, 365 days a year, to provide you with support and advice
- An amazing, local community of fellow foster carers. You’ll meet them at training and social events and will quickly build a network of people doing this amazing, unique job too. They will become your colleagues, friends and people you can really rely on for advice and practical support. Our foster carers often help each other out with babysitting, school runs and sharing equipment for example.
And much, much more. Request an information pack to find out about the additional support available in your Local Authority.
